1. Necessity of Medical Theory
Why does modern medical science need theoretical medicine?

Now, let us consider why and how theoretical study is necessary for medical science. Modern medical science does not yet accept theoretical study enough, and does not have a field of theoretical medicine. This reveals that most medical researchers still wonder if theoretical study has the ability to analyze disease. However, I confirm that theoretical study indeed helps medical researchers to deduce how, what and where to focus on researching. In this sense, theoretical study must be very useful for analysis of disease. Thus, before analyzing disease theoretically, by comparing theoretical study with laboratory one, let us check what role theoretical study can play in modern medical science. You will also be able to understand why medical theory is necessary for medical science.

To check the necessity of theoretical medicine, we will consider it through three steps as follows.

First of all, we will consider the special characteristics of laboratory study. What inaccuracy does laboratory study have? What advantage and disadvantage does laboratory study show? By considering these points, let us consider what special characteristics laboratory study has.

Next, we will also consider the special characteristics of theoretical study. What inaccuracy does theoretical study have? How can medical science use theoretical study? By considering these points, let us consider what special characteristics theoretical study has.

Lastly, by comparing theoretical study with laboratory one, we will consider how theoretical study can play a significant role in medical science. For this purpose, let us consider what role a large hypothesis, which means a large theory, plays in medical science. Then, to understand more closely the importance of theoretical study, compare a hypothesis and a map to understand the importance of theoretical study.

Through these three steps, you will be able to notice why theoretical study is important for modern medical science. Although modern medical science tends to weigh heavily only in laboratory study, it needs to recognize the importance of theoretical study. This can be compared with the fact: as if a bicycle can run stably by the both wheels, modern medical science also needs both of wheels: laboratory and theoretical study in order to make a great progress. If modern medical science does not accept theoretical study, it will be unable to continue making a great progress. That is, theoretical study must play a major role in allowing modern medical science to make a great progress.

(Modern medical science needs both wheels to make a great progress. The both wheels, of course, indicate laboratory and theoretical study.)
