3. Roles of Fractal Structure
(a) Measurement of A Focal Size
"A fractal structure has the ability to measure the size of a damaged field, and will play an important role in carcinogenesis." To understand this indication, begin by picking up an experimental carcinogenesis: carcinogenesis induced by a film sheet. In this carcinogenesis, only when we implant a large film sheet (more than 2 cm square) into mouse skin, we can succeed in inducing cancer. Taking notice of this point leads us to indicate the following two points. First, a mouse body must have the ability to measure the size of a film sheet. Second, because a human body and a mouse belong to mammals, a human body must also have the ability of measuring the size of a focal field.
If so, what mechanism allows mammals to get such an ability? It must be "Fractalism." Mammals must measure the size of a damaged field by using the fractalism, and cause carcinogenesis. Why? A mammal has fractal structure. In addition, a fractal structure consists of different-sized units, and allows a mammal to measure the size of a damaged field. Thus, mammals including a human body, by using the fractalism: different-sized units, must be able to easily measure the size of any change in tissular condition. By using this mechanism, a human body can be considered to cause cancer. In short, this is one of the reasons why we need to understand that a human body is created as a fractal structure. |

(b) Control of Metabolism
Besides measuring the size of a focal field, a human body must also have the ability to control the internal movement (metabolism) by using the fractalism. As explained on the preceding page, a human body is created as a fractal structure, which can be divided into different-sized units according to the levels. These different-sized units contain different-sized movements. By using these different-sized movements, a human body can control the internal movement (metabolic turnover rate). I will explain this detailed mechanism on the following section: "Fractal Kinetic Theory." |

(d) Special Characteristics of Fractalism
All in all, fractalism plays a major role in controlling the internal movements in a fractal structure. Although most people tend only to use fractalism as a method of making beautiful figures in nature, we medical researchers should notice that fractalism has the ability to allow a human body to control the internal movement (metabolic turnover rate). In short, various things in nature, including a human body, are created as fractal structures, and can be considered to control their internal conditions by using their fractalism. |
